* In addition to the USDF Introductory walk/trot classes we offer
Training 1 & 2 and First 1 & 2 Opportunity Classes
for juniors/young riders and for adults.
Designed to let you try out the Recognized Show Experience without committing to the full cost of memberships, these classes do not require USEF or USDF memberships for Rider, Owner, Trainer, or Coach, or Horse ID numbers. Although Intro entrants must pay the $15 USEF/Drug Fee for each horse, Opportunity Class entrants do not. Entrants in both can show in Regular classes also, but then must meet membership and horse number requirements. Note that ALL horses in recognized shows are limited to no more than 3 classes per day at fourth level and below.

Helmet Rule as of March 1, 2011 :
Anyone mounted on a horse must wear protective headgear except those riders age 18 and over while on horses that are competing only in FEI levels and tests at the Prix St. Georges level and above (including FEI Young Rider Tests, the USEF Developing Prix St. Georges Test and the USEF Brentina Cup Test).
This means a helmet meeting or exceeding current ASTM standards for anyone on a horse (competitor or not) on the grounds of a licensed show.
